If I need a dental procedure but don't have the cash to cover it, are financing options available?
Absolutely, finance options are available. If you don't have all of the funds to be able to cover your dental treatment that day, which a lot of people don't, we have great options for that.
Will I have to pay for my dental procedure upfront?
At our office, patients do pay for the dental procedures upfront, and that is a huge reason why dental financing is a great option for some people. Now some people just want to pay for everything and just get it over with, but a lot of people would rather pay as they go, and we love helping people to do that.
Does all dental financing require a credit check?
For the most part, dental financing will usually require some sort of a credit check. Now fortunately, we have some great options with the companies that we work with where we can do a quick check without it doing a hard credit pull and affecting or dinging your credit in any way, so it's no risk to you.
What dental financing options are available from your practice and how do they work?
One of the most common questions is, what finance options are available? So we do work with Care Credit, that's a huge one that is very popular. So if you already have Care Credit, then you can bring your card. If you don't and you're interested in it, we can do the application for you. However, we also work with a company called With Cherry that we really, really enjoy working with because they're able to help our patients do like two-minute applications. Even if your credit score isn't that great, even really low credit score, they have great approval ratings and we're able to get a lot of our patients financed. Even within two minutes, it's like a quick text message. You just do it right on your phone, so make sure you bring your phone with you, and then they tell you right then and there how much you're approved for, and then you're able to just check out the same day with doing low monthly payments, even options with very little or no interest at all. It's great.
Does dental insurance typically cover the cost of most dental procedures?
Dental insurance is really great at helping with the cost of certain dental procedures. They do really good when it comes to basic cleanings, exams, x-rays, your kind of like a couple times a year expenses. Now, when it comes to actually needing dental work, they might chip in a little bit with fillings or a crown, but they don't have a whole lot of coverage. And, you know, there's these yearly maximums. It hasn't really caught up with the industry. So unfortunately, it's more like a little bit of a discount plan. Not always super helpful, but we make the process easy by making sure that we send the insurance, all the paperwork that's needed, and we follow up with them. We take the burden off of you and we'll handle it. Now, we do work with most PPO plans at the practice, even though we're not in network with them, we're still happy to take that burden off of you. We'll deal with them. And any out-of-pocket costs, that's where these finance plans really can come in and help you, especially if you have a large treatment plan. Even if the insurance is going to reimburse you some, you can start off with the finance and then whatever the insurance sends back to you, you can put that towards your payments.
If my insurance will only partially cover the cost of my dental procedure, can financing options help me pay for the rest?
The best way to get started with dental financing is just let us know right up front that you're interested in it. And we can do a couple of things to help you. We can actually pre-qualify you even before you come into the office, just asking you a couple of quick questions on the phone so that when you come in, you're already ready to use it. If you know that you might need it, we can actually go ahead and send you an application link directly to your phone. You can do the application from home and already have a pre-approval before you come into the office. And if you don't get approved right away, don't worry. We have other options. So when you come into the office and actually get your treatment plan and meet the wonderful doctors and they let you know what you need, then we can actually look at some of our other options that might be a better fit for you.
